How Can You Use Private Label Articles?
You may have seen the term Private Label Rights articles or PLR articles mentioned in online communities lately. PLR articles are articles that you can buy (usually in packages or as part of a membership) to use in your online business. The appeal is that you may edit and use the articles as you wish.
What makes them so special? Unlike free reprint articles from sites like EzineArticles.com or LadyPens.com, you are not required to link back to anyone else’s website which makes them appealing to many bloggers. And, unlike ghostwritten articles, you won’t pay a high price per article.
Once you understand the concept behind PLR articles, you can see why they are hot. Most people can envision the value of adding the articles to their blogs. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR content than that? Let’s cover a few of the more profitable ways you can use PLR content in your online business.
1. Send them in your weekly ezine. Need content for your newsletter or ezine? PLR articles to the rescue! Of course, if you’re developing a relationship with your readers, you will want to edit the articles to make them your own voice. However, you can pull a section from a PLR article – use it as inspiration — and whip out a newsletter in minutes rather than in hours.
2. Create an ecourse. It’s pretty simple to turn a PLR article or set of articles into an ecourse simply by loading them to your autoresponder. Start with something as simple as an article entitled “7 Ways to Get More Web Traffic”. Turn that into a 7 day ecourse that you can use to grow a list… and profit.
3. Send them in a print mailing. Direct mailing is huge. If you have a list of postal mailing addresses, put together a free report or print newsletter from PLR articles and send it out. It’s certainly a lot easier to stand out in the minds of your customers when your name and face is looking at them from their desk than it is to be just another name in their email inboxes. Wouldn’t you agree? It’s easy if you use PLR for parts of it.
4. Record a Powerpoint video. A video is nothing more than a sequence of ideas presented in a, hopefully, logical and coherent manner. So, why create your video from scratch when you can start with a PLR article? Simply take a PLR article, use it as talking points and you’ll be recording your first videos in no time.
5. Become a best-selling author. They say that everyone has a book inside them. Well, that may be true, but who has the time to write their book? PLR is the true secret of many non-fiction authors. How do I know this? Because my customers have sent me emails showing me their finished books on Amazon — and told me which chapters were created from the PLR on my site. Pretty smart, aren’t they?

The most difficult part of the process is finding a PLR source that provides the quality content that you’re looking for. Don’t be afraid to look around.
