Marketing Ideas For Small Business

§ January 16th, 2012 § Filed under Marketing § Tagged , , Comments Off

The 21st century and the global recession have certainly put the kitty among the pigeons where small business is concerned , but there are plenty of easy no-cost and low cost solutions for small businesses to maintain and even increase market share. As small outlets find they can’t compete against giant conglomerates they necessarily fail, unless they can offer more to their clients. This is performed by smart promoting and offering price and a better experience to the client.

So, what’s the solution to this troubling problem will our only choice be to shop like drones in these giant warehouses?

If you’re the owner of a bricks and mortar consultant store like a camera shop or a tool store chances are you are fighting to make profits by cutting margins and expenses significantly. This country has to get back to offering worth in the form of wonderful post-sale and pre-sale consumer service, offer experience and employ folk who know what they are doing, not someone who has neither initiative, personality nor expertise.

Look at what the major chains don’t offer and you will see that consumer service is a thing of the past, their stores all look the same and if they have not got what you need, you are sunk. Local businesses are what make a community and folks who’ve chosen to start their own businesses have a fondness for what they do and they really like to help when was the last time that occurred in your local Wallymart?

Google is doing everything to prompt small local businesses to get an internet site. If you have a highly specialized business your internet site can instantly become number one when someone searches for Your City and your expert service. Just this easy low cost marketing solution can bring in loads of new shoppers. For a small charge you can be listed in local directories, your local Chamber of Commerce and on Angie’s list, which will mount up to more visibility and less cost than any pricey mag or weekly newspaper ad, and do not forget mobile web access.

Beginning and maintaining an internet site isn’t complicated or dear, nowadays a fascinating WordPress site can be built in less than 2 hours all that it costs is monthly hosting and a domain name fee. On a local strip I latterly asked eleven small business owners if they had an internet site and only one announced yes. If you need to start your own business the market is wide open to help these people out and make yourself a great living, I just wish I had the time.

All a small local business wants is a Google map of where they are a page explaining what they do, a section that gives opening hours and contact data, some great photos and maybe a history of the business and that’s it! Add an opt in box and a once per month newsletter can go out, chits can be despatched and sales announced, and with the addition of some affiliate advertizing the site can basically make the business owner some money even after covering the minor costs concerned.

Online businesses have a much more hard time getting themselves to the pinnacle of the search site listings. They have tougher competition and have to address back linking, article writing and SEO and many other marketing tactics they must employ to achieve success. A small local business blog built on WordPress can also serve as a means for customers to ask about products and services as well , cutting back on inbound calls that often come when making an attempt to cope with other customers. It’s all about attraction marketing and getting business back to how they should be unique, helpful and well informed businesses with fantastic purchaser service that offer an delightful shopping experience for all who walk thru the door.

If you ever thought that email Direct Marketing advertising is an annoying thing, you are in for an unpleasant surprise, for there is some hot debate around this subject in which some pretty stable online markets are involved, and there is actually an acerb avalanche of shouts that are in favor for this kind of agreement advertisements to be used in email business.

While approval can be heard loudly from one side, the other side just does not share the same view and it is completely against such an implementation. They consider that at least your mail inbox, which is implied as being personal, should be deprived of such means of violating your intimacy. And I have to agree on that one. Sooner or later you will hear that if you are using an internet connection, you will be required to stamp ads on your monitor. What nonsense!

As I stated before, there are some internet marketers out there who really are voting in favor of the use of advertisements in email broadcasts for their activity’s benefits. Those who are supporting this way of violating other people’s intimacy, by using marketing lists and advertising on their e-newsletter or emails, are in my personal opinion, trying to accomplish accumulation from the email activity itself. This tactic is also accepted by them as a method of putting under pressure the internet banker to accommodate the expectations of the associates of the email administration account, for the emails will anyway be breeding accumulation if no email recipients are attracted to complete a purchase.

When deciding to sign up for the services I will be listing below, you will be given access to all the tools you will need for conducting everything you need to let everyone know of your business through a well organized Marketing Strategy. Everyone has a different perspective on this problem. The personal opinions of those reading this commodity may be affected by the fact of whether or not they are advised to be consumers or marketers. This is convincing enough for it may appulse preferences.

As a conclusion, when trying to evaluate opinions regarding the use of advertising and Marketing Consultants, one thing that’s really important is to count out the significance of it being present in certain spaces. It is useful in offering out our opinions to certain services, certain products we may be presented with, but it is also a way of intruding in one’s intimacy and it should be let to one’s decision where to activate an option to receive or not to receive such information.

B1G1 – Global Giving Partnering Businesses With Charities

Buy One Give One (BOGO) is the home of transaction-based giving.

STOP. Take a breath. And imagine you were part of a world where every transaction made a difference.

Imagine, for a moment, you purchased a TV, and automatically a cataract-blind child got the gift of sight. Automatically. Or imagine if today you bought a cup of coffee and someone in Africa got access to clean, pure drinking water as a direct result. Again automatically.

If you want to find out how to select a generator, read this article: Find Press Release » Boat Gear - Some Hints To Help You Get Equipped

It’s all happening right now. Already Buy1GIVE1 (BOGO/B1G1) has become a true global giving ‘village’, bringing together businesses, their customers and worthy causes in a way that’s never been done before.

It’s happening globally, every second, every day and in every way with a staggering 556 projects already underway and making a difference.

That’s because in the Buy1GIVE1 world, every single sales transaction, be it buying a beer in Jamaica or renting a car in Reno (and everything in between) gives back in a well-defined, resonant and measurable way.

In this present economy, when both corporations and charities have seen a decrease in profits and contributions, cause-related marketing appears to really be catching on. Cause-related marketing is a business scheme involving a partnership between a company with a product to sell and a charity with a cause to advance. As opposed to “corporate philanthropy,” which merely includes a company making a tax-deductible charitable donation, cause-related marketing benefits both the company (by helping to increase sales, and thus, profits), and the charity (by bringing in contributions and calling attention to the cause.)

You buy a book, a tree is planted. You dine out, a child is fed. Buy One Give One – simple. The list goes on forever and the giving simply happens automatically, every second, every day and in every way.

And it is beautifully simple. Buy1GIVE1 is now becoming a global movement as more and more businesses jump on board and enjoy the incredible benefits of transactional giving.

In Buy1GIVE1, they make it a point that in all cases, the consumer is simply not engaged in CSR initiatives on a day-to-day basis. Buy1-Give1 gives solutions to that and it does it every second, every day and in every way.

Corporate Gift Suggestion: Pens

§ February 1st, 2010 § Filed under Marketing § Tagged , , , , , , , , , , , Comments Off

Pens are small, fairly inexpensive but in respect to using them for gifts they don’t get disposed of till they have been fully used, giving them a life of one or two months depending on usage. Because of this versatility they are a perfect gift.

Pen manufacturers would agree that the most common ink color these days is black ballpoint. When you are looking for advertising exposure the black ballpoint pen cannot easily be beaten for dollar for dollar advertising & market exposure value. Your clients can be constantly reminded of your business each day when you add your branding or unique company features to the pen.

Black ballpens are the most preferred amongst sales people and office workers but blue is next in line in popularity. Odd and interesting colors such as orange or pink can also be used, but are of little usableness. They’re best for party-hire companies or children’s wear businesses. After all you are giving a very practical gift so it may be better to stick with blue of black ink.

SLSF Articles » Boat Gear - Some Tips To Help You Get Equipped is another great article.

Imagination is your only limit when it comes to the outside appearance of a pen. As long as the pen is still usable practically as a pen, you would still achieve your exposure goals regardless of how it looks like.

On the pen’s body, you should first focus on company info you want to put, before thinking of the pen’s body design next. If you do not do this, you may end up with a great physical design but has no space for the info you want to add. This would defeat your advertising purpose completely.

When it comes to the body of the pen, do not go too cheap. Quality looking pens will be preferred by more people than cheap looking ones. Don’t use cheap pen interiors either. A lot of us has thrown away a pen in frustration because a pen does not work when we tried using it. This experience can then leave the person reflecting the quality of the pen on your company which is not good or what you intended.

Good corporate gift suppliers should allow you to buy pens in volumes you require, in addition to the design concept of the pen body & its quality aspects we discussed.

The Screen Printing Process

§ January 29th, 2010 § Filed under Marketing § Tagged , , , , , , , , , , Comments Off

Screen printing is a printing process that makes use of a woven mesh to hold an ink-blocking stencil. The attached stencil outlines the open areas of the mesh that transfer ink in the form of a sharp-edged image on the surface that is to be printed and this surface is called substrate. On the screen stencil, a squeegee or roller moves and pumps the ink on the open areas that are to be printed with that particular color.

Silk screening or serigraph also involves screen printing. In this, the stencil method of the print making imposes a design on the screen of silk or any other fine mesh and the empty areas are covered with an impermeable substance while the ink is put on the printing surface through the mesh. The silk printing was the traditional method but now it has been replaced with the polyester for screen painting.

Screen painting is the technique developed by the Chinese almost 2000 years back and the screen was made of human hair stretched across a wooden frame. The Japanese developed it further by using the woven silk as mesh and lacquers as stencils. Europe adopted this technique much later as it involved silk which was not available in the Europe.

The Secret Art Of Screen Printing

§ January 23rd, 2010 § Filed under Marketing § Tagged , , , , , , , , , , Comments Off

The term ‘printing’ may be explained as the procedure of creating lettering and pictures, usually using ink and paper via a printing press. The science of printing has really advanced and progressed over the years. Screen-printing, in all of its various forms, is a popular technique.

Screen-printing, also referred to as silk screening, is a method that is best for surfaces that are relatively flat. In this process, fine mesh or a screen is tightly stretched around a rigid frame, with the screen masking areas which will not be printed. In order to make a print, the screen is placed atop the item that is to be printed; then a blob of thick ink is applied. Next the ink is pressed through the screen with the assistance of a squeegee. The ink bonds to the unmasked area, thereby creating the print, and the masked area is shielded from ink penetration. After this, the printed item goes through a heated tunnel that dries the ink so that items can be stacked or put into packages.

When more than one color is involved, the process is repeated, utilizing different screens. So, four screens would be necessary for a four-color print; they can be placed on a rotary press or done by hand, allowing each color to print in its proper place.

If you want to find out how to select a generator, read this article: Selecting A Generator - Which Will Suit Your Requirements? : Information Fanatic

There are a number of methods for ‘masking’ a screen. The easiest technique is via application of masking fluid right onto the screen. This is the perfect procedure for dual-color graphics, while for multiple-color tasks, a photosensitive emulsion is the proper procedure.

Screen-printed T-shirts using plastic inks are often stiflingly hot if you aren’t sure of what you’re getting as you order. For more subdued and vintage-looking screen-printed apparel, inks with a water base might be preferable. For a bold and heavy printing, application of plastic-based inks using heat might be a wise choice.

Inks containing plastics are used by many screen printers because often they last longer, are richer, heavier and more easily seen, not to mention being easier on the screen printing equipment. Within a short time frame, plastic inks can begin to crack up, though. Natural inks last longer and they look better too.
