I thought now would be a good opportunity to try and put a checklist together that people new into the business or those who aren’t getting the results they want, could use to get themselves on the right track. The following items are going to be the key to building a strong foundation for your MLM marketing plan. Many people get started in this business without a plan and any help and they end up failing before they ever get started.
Let’s start first with identifying who we want to market to and why will these people want to buy from us versus some other people (Define our unique selling proposition, USP). So many people, both new and experienced (myself included), get started in their businesses and think they need to first focus on getting traffic or leads without understanding and identifying their target markets. The one size fits all approach for online marketing will lead to a slow, painful death of your business. Being very targeted in your marketing and having something that sets you apart from the noise are the two essentials for a good MLM marketing plan.
Second, once you understand your market and have figured out what you can do to set yourself apart, you must do the proper keyword research. So many people are picking highly competitive keywords that they will never see any traffic from due to the competition. You should instead search for words that are highly searched for, but have low site competition.

Finally, put together a comprehensive MLM marketing plan. Identify the two or three marketing avenues (video, social media, articles, etc.) that you want to focus on first. Then, put together a monthly plan outlining what you envision your accomplishments for the month should be. Last in this step is to break your monthly outline down into daily tasks or your daily method of operation (DMO). Your DMO can be the most critical part of your overall marketing plan because it will keep you on task and ensure you are constantly heading in the right direction.
These three items will help to ensure you are on the right path to start off in your business. Doing these things will also keep you on track and help you to avoid many of the distractions that can come up while working online. Take the time now to get this plan together and you will already have yourself ahead of a great majority of the people you will be competing with.
