Following Up With Your Leads In Your Internet Marketing Promotion

I am presuming you have already read part one and two in this article series Discover How To Create Leads For Your Internet Marketing Promotion Business (part one) http://bit.ly/daxtTi And Following Up Until You Get Action In Your Internet Marketing Promotion Business (part two) http://bit.ly/agelHF

Aside from impulse buys or necessary purchases, sales typically take place over a period of time and a series of steps. Customers are cost-conscious. They look for value before they make significant purchases, particularly during a sluggish economy. Following up is an important aspect of closing a sale. Many businesses either neglect it or do not have an established plan. If you don’t have the time or want to follow up with leads personally, you can use a virtual assistant. Many of you may know that working with a Virtual Assistant (VA) is the way to go in business today. Anyone can work with a Virtual Assistant: individual or business. You don’t have to have a business to work with a VA. If you work in the business world or if you’re a business owner you can save a lot of time by obtaining the services of a Virtual Business Assistant.

Following-up with your leads and matching their interest level with the information they desire and being a friendly face and a place of knowledge and leadership in your niche will pay-off over time as people will come to you when their need arises for your product/service. What follow-up does is keep you and your company at the fore-front of their mind when they think of your related field and develop a need for you.

“Think of Follow-up as an investment of your time that pays dividends and will bring referrals from your clients in droves when done properly.” — Brian J Fanslau

The importance of this cannot be underestimated. Time and time again internet marketing gurus tell you that the money is in the list. This is not by accident. We online marketing specialists know that this is fact. The more people you have on mailing lists that are interested in your products or services, the more sales you will make. And remember, the majority of this can be done automatically without you needing to be personally involved.

Here is an internet marketing promotion lead follow-up blueprint:

It’s easier to do than you might initially think. The internet is the easiest place to find free content that you can share with your customer base. An example might be to search and locate articles of interest and relevance, copy the link then paste and send.

Sample schedule of a lead nurturing programme using email follow-up: Day 1: After phone call, send a “nice chatting with you” email Day 5: White paper download/e-newsletter (leave voicemail to announce) Day 14: Recent customer success story (related company) + article of interest Day 30: Case study Day 45: Report/webinar/seminar offer Day 60: Email “touching base” note Day 75: Article of interest + case study Day 90: Prospect calls you = qualified lead

Discover How To Create Leads For Your Internet Marketing Promotion Business

Starting to build an internet marketing promotion enterprise can be as simple as ABC and very lucrative. In fact when it comes to the marketing side of the business, there are only three key elements that are required.

1. Drive traffic to your site or preferably blog. You have multiple choices here and please don’t be sucked in like so many others by unscrupulous people simply trying to sell you their e-book etc.

2. Qualify those leads. Making sure they are the right leads for your niche.

3. Follow up with those leads. You may have heard ‘the fortune is in the follow up’ and that is so, so true. I always follow up via telephone whenever possible and use an virtual assistant to also automatically follow up with them over time until they are ready to join my business, where that is 2 days, 2 months, 2 years or however long it takes. The great thing with a virtual assistant as by far the majority of follow up is done for me on my behalf. Talk about creating time freedom, it’s amazing.

I am going to put this article into three parts as there isn’t enough room in one article to cover all three vital steps. So lets begin with step one.

I am assuming you already have a website or blog? If you don’t already have one, scroll to the end of this article and be sure to click the link in the resource box and contact me, so that we can get you set up with your own blog. There is no point creating leads if you have no where to send them.

So what would the “ultimate” lead generation system look like?

Thinking of the ideal system for getting leads, I believe it should include the following…

1. Run by itself, once set up, so that you can spend your most precious resource, your time doing the things that you would most want to do.

2. Build a list of leads with their contact details who are genuinely interested in knowing and wanting to hear from you about your product or service.

3. A powerful and effective way that automatically follows up with these people with your valuable information about your product or service.

4. The system needs to be high touch and not just high tech in order to build that all important know, like and trust with those who are receiving your information.

5. Will give you a predictable result if you follow the system. Just like McDonalds does. We both know McDonalds have lousy burgers but their global success is built on the predicable and duplicatable system.

The very best system that my clients have found for achieving all five steps is article writing with content that leads back to your blog with an opt-in box.

Unlike advertising, this strategy helps you build credibility and, overtime, a steady stream of highly qualified prospects. If you don’t have an hour or two per day to write and submit articles you can automate the process by subcontracting a service such as article writing to a third party or ghost-writer.

If you prefer you can out source your articles and get someone else to write them.

Discover How To Qualify Your Leads For Maximum Leverage In Your Internet Marketing Promotion Business

Welcome back. If you have not read the first article in this series on how to create leads, be sure to get your copy from http://bit.ly/daxtTi

Continuing on from my first article ‘Discover How To Create Leads For Your Internet Marketing Promotion Business’ I am going to talk with you about the importance of qualifying those leads that you get to your blog. The quality of leads has a direct correlation to sales efficiency and success. It’s important to expend marketing efforts on getting only the traffic to your blog. So how do we do that David? Well personally I always use this three step formula.

STEP 1: Determine the target market of your business. Knowing the target market of your businesses product or service before you invest in it is essential. For instance if you are promoting a product that is targeted towards women with low income and the unessential product is more then they make in a month, you may want to rethink your target market.

STEP 2: Target Your Perfect Customer. The most important part of your copy is not your headline, not your offer and certainly not your benefits. The most important part is your customer.

STEP 2: Target your market. In order for your marketing to be most effective you really have to focus on the creation of the most attractive messages and their call to action. All effective target marketing puts a special focus on this particular task.

STEP 3: Capture the traffic that goes to your blog. To build or to extend your client list, opt-in marketing is definitely the best solution. With opt-in marketing, you will get to collect names and email addresses of potential buyers, of course with their implied prior consent. As the list grows, you can further categorize it into various segments in terms of personal taste, buying preference, frequency of purchase, and so on. This benefit will enable you to plan ahead other strategies relating to the segmentation.

3: Collect the details of those who visit your blog. People will be a lot more willing to leave their details if you offer them something of value in exchange for their details for example a special report or DVD about how to literally save thousands when buying their next home. The other key is to keep it short. If you make the form too long, people will simply not fill it out, or will skip over large sections of it.
