Wrinkles and sagging skin are a problem since they are signs of aging. No one wants to look older so people will try anything to make themselves look younger. There are expensive procedures that you can do to make yourself look younger. But if you do not have the budget for such procedures, the cheaper alternative is through the use of wrinkle creams. These creams work by providing the skin with its needed nutrients and stimulate cell regeneration so that older cells can be replaced by new ones, eliminating wrinkles in the process.

Wrinkles form on the skin due to constant stretching coupled with the loss of your skin’s elasticity. As we grow older, the skin loses its elastic property as the underlying support becomes depleted of its collagen and elastin stores. Production of these substances slows down so it becomes harder for skin to return to its normal state. Together with the constant stretching of the skin in one direction, this forms wrinkles and fine lines on the skin. Dirt that becomes stuck on your pores may also contribute to the accumulation of liquids which causes skin to sag.

Most creams contain a lot of different ingredients that have different functions in helping you have a younger-looking face. Some of the more advanced ingredients are Matrixyl 3000 which stimulates cell regeneration to replace older cells. New cells are younger and more elastic thus they have the capability to stretch the skin again so that it returns to its original form.

Another ingredient that is popular in most wrinkle creams is the presence of collagen, elastin and proteins which all help in the production of new cells and for increased support for the skin. Since the body cannot produce enough of these substances to retain the skin’s elasticity, creams are providing them for you.

Most creams also have a moisturizing effect so as to prevent skin from being too dry. Dry skin becomes easily damaged especially when stretched. A hydrated skin on the other hand, is more resilient and will not be damaged easily even when stretched. Having damaged skin will almost always result in uglier and older-looking skin.

Another way that wrinkle creams make you look younger is by having antioxidants which can remove damaging free radicals from your body. Free radicals are wastes that are not needed by the body. When these accumulate, it can potentially damage healthy cells making you look older.

You will just need a few minutes of your time each day to apply these creams, once in the morning, and another application at night. Lightly massage the cream on your face and neck and you are god to go. You can even put makeup over these creams so it is not a hassle to put on. But be sure to check with your dermatologist as to which wrinkle cream you will use as some may contain ingredients that is not suitable for your skin.

Save money on those expensive procedures and use these wrinkle creams instead. It will give you the same results that you want at a cheaper price. As long as you are patient and diligent in applying your cream everyday, you will be able to observe results in just a matter of weeks. And after several months, you are sure to look a few years younger and most of your wrinkles would have disappeared.
